Phelps Family Student Success Service Awards (SSSA)
These Student Success Service Awards (SSSA) were created and designed to recognize exemplary undergraduate, upper division students who have outstanding records of positively impacting the academic success of other UNC students. They have unselfishly committed their time, talent, knowledge and energy to peer tutoring, mentoring, individual and/or small group tutoring, and/or providing supplemental instruction, where requested, to support and contribute to the University’s mission of advancing student success in the UNC community. The Donors believe that there are noteworthy key pillars and values for building and living meaningful lives, including: 1) Contribute to your community by volunteering time and personal skills, talents, abilities, and experience; and, 2)Pay-it-forward by impacting the lives of others in meaningful and positive ways to them through small or large, random or planned, acts of kindness, caring, and giving back. Student Success Service Awardees exemplify such values and commitment to the UNC community.
