James Elmer and Laura Dreier Newton Scholarship

The James Elmer and Laura Dreier Newton Scholarship is awarded to a freshman that is a graduate of Mead High School of Mead, Colorado and has been accepted into the Professional Teacher Education Program. To qualify for this opportunity the applicant must be accepted into the Professional Teacher Education Program; be a freshmen student at UNC; and be a graduate of Mead High School of Mead, Colorado. The recipient does not need to demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to a student that provides a recommendation letter from a guidance counselor of Mead High School.
