WeldWerks Diversity Scholarship

The WeldWerks Diversity Scholarship is awarded to students who identify to the University as Black, African American, Native American, American Indian, Pacific Islander, Alaska Native, Latinx, or respective equivalent. To qualify for this opportunity the applicant shall demonstrate a high level of financial need with a preference for students who are Pell eligible; identify to the University as Black, African American, Native American, American Indian, Pacific Islander, Alaska Native, Latinx, or respective equivalent with a preference for students who identify as Black or African American; and be a citizen of the United States or Permanent Resident or has DACA or ASSET status. Preference will be given to students who minor in Brew Science. Applicants are required to submit a brief essay in response to the following prompt: “Tell the selection committee about the last time you had changed your mind. What idea or belief was challenged and how was it changed?”
