Hispanic Women of Weld County Traditional Scholarship

We are pleased to invite you to apply for the Hispanic Women of Weld County Scholarship. This organization was founded by Ms. Charlotte Rodriguez in November 1988 to celebrate Career Month, and to promote recognition and career advancement for
Hispanic Women. One or two non-renewable $1000 scholarship/s will be awarded and applied toward tuition, books, or fees. Awarded Scholarship funds will be deposited directly into the student’s financial account at the selected college or University.
Arrangements will be made with the successful applicants regarding when/where to send the scholarship award.

ELIGIBILITY:
1. Must be a female resident of Weld County.
2. Must be a high school graduate or have a GED.
3. Must be a non-traditional, under graduate student, 25 years of age or older.
4. Must be working toward completion of a 2 or 4-year degree or vocational certificate program, at an accredited institution of higher learning in the State of Colorado.
PROCEDURE:
1. Applications must be complete and required documents attached. Incomplete and late applications will not be considered.
2. Provide 2 letters of recommendation that address the suggested criteria on page 4.
3. The application must include: a. A transcript, ACT/SAT scores, or an assessment test from the school the student is or will attend. b. A copy of the acceptance letter or copy of the individual class schedule. c. A copy of financial aid application (FAFSA or SFAR).
4. The successful HWWC scholarship applicants will be notified when the final determination is made.
5. All materials will be confidential and will not be returned.
